Everyone enjoys a browse around the Homecraft Tent to admire the exhibits and it buzzes all afternoon with visitors after the judges have made their decisions.
The most important aspect of our Homecraft section is that anyone can have a go!
Novice Classes, specifically for Exhibitors who have never won a prize in that section, are run in Floral Art, Home Baking and Handicrafts (See schedule for full details).
We hope the displays provide inspiration to get new people cooking and crafting each year.
The theme for the Combined Display this year is ‘A Shakespearean Play’ where local societies, clubs or groups of friends can enter as a Collective.
The Junior Section has some Roald Dahl themed classes this year. There is something for everyone with classes for computer generated invitations and posters, making and crafting, art and photography, baking and floral displays for children in categories Under 5s, Age 5-7, Age 8-11 and Age 12-16.
NEW CLASSES for 2016:-
Preserves– Gooseberry Jam and Orange Curd
Home Baking– Coffee & Walnut Cake, Ginger Biscuits, Raspberry & White Chocolate Muffins, Granary Loaf, Bath Buns, Cheese Straws and Savoury Plait.
