Usk Farmers' Club is seeking a new logo

to be used for the 2010 show.

 

Competition Entries and Rules

Purpose:
To find the new logo symbol for Usk Farmers' Club Ltd, which will be used for all media pertaining to the company going forward. Usk Farmers' Club requires a logo which encapsulates, embodies and reflects the organisation (see show history). The logo shall be an image or stylized wording (or both). Usk Farmers' Club hereby invites interested individuals to participate in a public competition to design an innovative logo.

Submission deadline:
12th September 2009

Guidance:
The logo must be identifiable directly to Usk Farmers' Club Ltd.
The logo must be original work of the submitter.
The logo must not exploit or offend anyone's sex, race, religion, morality, culture, nor be salacious or rude.

Participation:
The competition is open to all interested individuals of any age.

Submission format:
Each submission should include the following information and should be sent to the address below.
An A4 paper copy of your design, either hand drawn or computer designed
The logo can be in colour or black and white
Submitter's full name, email address and phone number on the reverse side of the design
Please note that designs will not be returned to the designers.

Submission:
The designs shall be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and marked LOGO COMPETITION should be posted to the following address:

No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged.
Any submissions that do not satisfy the above "submission format" will not be considered.
 

Adjudication:
All entries will be considered by selected members of the Management Committee. Entries can be sent into the Secretary, or entered in the Homecraft and Floral Art Section, which will be displayed on Showday. A shortlist will then be compiled and referred to a Design Company who will advise on their suitability for reproduction. The Management Committee decision on the winner is final.

Prize:
To be confirmed, but likely to be a Hot Air Balloon Ride

Copyright assignment:
Usk Farmers' Club Ltd. will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all other rights related to the design.

By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer acknowledges that he/she is the person that made the logo and is its rightful owner.

The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.

A copy of the assignment document will be provided to the winner.
